I have been fishing all my life. Growing up, my dad was in
the Navy so most of the time we were fortunate enough to live close to the water. During the early years of my fishing career
I did lots of saltwater fishing. However, I moved to Indiana
in 1966 and started fishing in the ponds, lakes, and rivers of southern Indiana. In 1978 I helped start the Chelsea Bass
Master's fishing club, a club I still belong to. After proving myself as competitive fisherman participating in local and state
club tournaments I moved on to the regional and national level in 1988. While competing at the regional and national level I
have won the Indiana State Championship, The Bass Federation Classic, and the World Series of Bass Fishing. The year 2000 was
the start of my Fuji Film Fishing Team sponsorship. I also began fishing on the FLW tour and in the FLW Series.
Most of my success has come from the work of my hand and preparing myself for each tournament, as well as working
with my sponsor, Fuji Film, promoting their company.
I have a long history with the Indiana Bass Federation where I have been on the Board of Directors for many years.
